Some Gene’s Don’t Fit

This is an excerpt from a chapter in my new book that I have been writing for the past few months but it isn’t complete as of yet. The book is called Some Gene’s Don’t Fit which is a sequel to my last book Asea, A Journey Told.

Chapter Twelve

Logan arrived half an hour early anxious and nervous. He carefully observed each person walking through the door. At 1:00 sharp the door opened and Logans mouth dropped. It was almost as if watching himself walk through the door with only a few offset details. Immediately Michael saw Logan and walked toward his table, each studying one another as they came closer. The similarities were unmistakable. Even though they had separate mothers there was no denying the male genes of their biological father were very potent.

Conversation came easy to them once they relaxed. They took mocha’s to go and walked through the nearby park stopping to sit on a bench.

“This must all seem pretty far fetched right now,” Michael said, “ but I can assure you I’m on the up and up. I really do hope we can get to know one another better when neither of us feel tense or pressured.”

“All that being said, I guess I had better drop one more bomb shell on you Logan,” Michael hesitated a bit then said, “It would appear that we also have a sister somewhere out there. I have a private detective working on it and by the way, once she’s located would you be willing to go through a DNA test with her and I, if she’s in agreement?”

“My God Michael, I don’t know how much more I can digest. My very normal life was turned inside out just over a week ago when out of the clear blue I get a phone call from a complete stranger telling me he is my half brother and living right here in the city no less. Now he tells me I have a sister too.” Logan was stupefied.
