‘Pandemic’— the word pierces my very soul
I’m frightened and want to run away where it’s safe
But there is no where to go
The earth is blanketed by this disease
Yes, I’m angry.
Alone but by no means alone
Snared by the traps of steeled jaws
Masks, gloves, line ups, don’t touch, disinfect
God forbid should this be the new normal
Yes, I’m angry.
More racial hatred, as if there wasn’t enough before
Just another reason to blame our fellow man
A vicious tragedy this virus has caused
To test our humanity to the bounds of our limits
Yes, I am angry.
We are told the Covid 19 Virus will not last forever
It will vanish into the abyss as a memory
Like the loved ones it took with it
My heart aches for the many who had to die alone.
YOU BET YOUR LIFE I’M ANGRY.
Yes I Am Angry,
