An excerpt from a chapter titled Mid-Life Crisis in “The Back Nine” by Ernie Briginshaw.
Meeting cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The remainder of these postings moved to our next meeting.
Ernie,
Though I sort of suspected he’d want to prove his virility in some way to the young girl, it flowed in a natural way. She was, after all, making physical contact. That he felt old and didn’t want that label added to the likelihood that he’d slip out some of his feelings, particularly after he was trying to subtly impress her with pulling in his abdomen.
The accurate golf terminology also lead to his inner thoughts, more so than “a swing with his club.”
